Cracked, 2021
A typology of 44 photographs of cracks on concrete floors found in carparks across the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. Inspired by Jackson Pollock’s abstract expressionism, the work embraces randomness and anonymity, documenting the traces left behind from human activities. It invites the viewers to celebrate their chance encounter with objects and phenomena around them, and to discover intriguing patterns in the seemingly mundane and routine everyday life.

Afternoon Tea, 2022
Inspired by my identity as a Hong Kong-Canadian artist, Afternoon Tea addresses the theme of diaspora and showcase my hybrid lifestyle that combines Eastern and Western traditions. A Bolo Bao (Hong Kong traditional bun) is placed alongside Timbits and beverages from the Canadian franchise, Tim Hortons, blending the afternoon tea menus and cuisine cultures from Hong Kong and Canada. A fork and a knife are set on the right side of the plate, while a pair of chopsticks sit on the left, representing the mix of table manners and cultural rules from the East and West.
